I went over there on Thursday, December 30, 2004, to complete safety recall 729 (Seat Back Bolt) on my girlfriends 1991 Dodge Shadow ES Turbo and install a new battery. Upon my arrival I advised them that the battery was not needed as a new one was purchased the day before. I did ask them however to install new "toolless" battery terminals I had bought at Advanced Auto Parts in Sandusky, Ohio the previous day. These enable my girlfriend to remove the battery with no tools if it was needed. Their service manager told me it would be $60.00 (1 hour labor) plus tax for this ($64.20 total). Having very little mechanical knowledge, I felt I had no choice. This is highway robbery! I was there from 7:56 AM until 8:53 AM. Not even a full hour. I watched the mechanic and it took him no longer then 15 minutes to install the terminals. I cannot justify 1 hours worth of labor for a 15 minute job. I personally own a Ford and the Ford dealerships I have been to do not charge me 1 hours labor for a 15 minute repair. They charge me for 15 minutes reasonably. I am still waiting for an explanation for this from some higher up at Courtesy Auto Mall

Courtesy is a bunch of crooks. I had a problem with another one of their dealerships, Courtesy AutoMall / Kia of Shelby in Shelby, Ohio over a year and a half ago about the purchase of a minivan my mother wanted. The van that was just purchased leaked oil like a siv. We took it to them for a supposed repair. As soon as we got back out on the road, it was still leaking oil. We took it back to them, found our sales person and told him we had put a stop payment on the check that was just issued for the purchase. That problem was solved like that.

I bought my 2007 Sportage from Courtesy Kia in Ravenna 5 months ago and have had nothing but a great car and the first free service was without problems. My only hitch in the sale was they asked me to come back to resign a document as the price was off by a few cents. I told them since it was their mistake, they will have to come to me and they did. The price on the new paper work was correct (something I was leary about). I have nothing but good things to say about the Ravenna KIA and do recommmend them.
