I have several complaints with Giant Van Lines and wanted to describe my problems so that others seeking the service of Giant Van Lines would know not to deal with them. 1. The cost was a bit excessive. They initally quoted me a $600 'door to door' moving cost, however by the time everything was finished, it cost me well over $1800. I did bring a little more than what I said, but to triple the cost is a little too much. 2. The drivers were extremely rude! The drivers wanted to deliver my items a day before they were supposed to (Thursday) - even though it stated on the paperwork that I wouldn't even be there until Friday!

They left several nasty messages on my cell phone telling me that they "are going to drop all of my stuff in the front yard if I'm not there" and "double charging for not being there upon their arrival". 3. Many fragile items I had got damaged. I packaged my fragile items very good, however by the looks of the boxes they were in, it appears that they were EXTREMELY rough, even though the boxes had "fragile" written on every side. In fact I know they were very rough and careless with my stuff because when they did make the delivery, they jammed my dresser into the bedroom door causing a huge chip in the door. I tried calling the company several times, however no one was willing to help me resolve any of these problems. The entire staff is very rude and not nice to deal with. So if you want a friendly and helpful moving company, Giant Van Lines is not for you!
