Browns Chicken - Lockport Illinois I recently had a bad experience at what was previously in my opinion a well run fast food restaurant. I come to this location at least twice a month and have for over 3 years. My issue comes from a promotion that the restaurant has with the "American Values" card that I purchased through school fund raising program that the restaurant and in fact the whole chain participates in. This promotion is essentially a 2 for one meal deal or 2 for 1 sandwich deal whatever the case may be, which is similar to paper coupon deals that come in he mail all the time. I have used this card on several occasions during this year and in fact in the previous year with no problem and in fact there is even a note posted on the wall by the cash register that they support this program. The problem is that when I ordered 4 identical dinners under this promotion as I have done many times in the past when my order was rung up I questioned the amount. I was rudely told by a clerk that appeared to have more pimples than brains that "Dude ....My Boss told us that from now on its only one "deal" per customer. I asked to see his "boss" and was told that he wasn't in. I asked to see the floor manager and was told that they didn't have one. When I asked who was in charge I was basically told "well like nobody". I told him that there is nothing on either the card or the web site that has a limit and in fact had don't the same thing at least a dozen times over the last 2 years. The response I received was Sorry Dude!! Being in marketing I understand that the concept of these promotions is to build repeat business and support local business which I am totally in favor of. When a competing Popeye's restaurant opened directly across the street I continued to support the local business that was supporting the community. I order catering for birthdays and parties and such with the thought in mind of patronizing businesses that support the community and are well run but this incident has soured my taste for Browns and I will be looking elsewhere as well as informing the people from the school program about the practices of this restaurant.
