I ordered a Toshiba p25-s676 thru Amazon.com's "trusted merchants". I did the pay thru Amazon.com and it would not work. There was a "Contact Merchant before buying" at the bottom of the ad. I did so and was told that the Amazon.com payments to Italy was temporarily out of service in Italy. But that I could send them the money and they would send the laptop. Them being a "trusted merchant" with an add in Amazon.com's website, I sent them the money.

To make a long story short, the ad turned out to be fraudulent. I lost $1000.00.

I contacted Amazon.com and told them I wanted them to make good on their "trusted merchant" guarantee. They said that they did from time to time let fraudulent ads onto their website but they would not honor the trusted merchant guarantee because I sent them money instead of buying thru Amazon.com even thought from time to time they allowed a cash sale. They admitted to allowing the ad on their website. They said that they pulled the ad after finding it fraudulent later after I had already been taken. They gave me the so sad too bad, you are screwed even though we allowed the fraudulent ad on our website.

Those deadbeats would not even give me the name of their superiors at Amazon.com headquarters. I had to search for it thru Google.

I have initiated a boycott of their website. It has grown to over 33,000 through out the united states with a considerable amount of them in the same shape I am in. I get emails daily with the same complaints. That Amazon.com are frauds and they got screwed too after trusting their guarantee's.

They are not to be trusted even with all their pander about being upfront and honest and all sales unconditionally guarantee's.

Join the boycott. Don't buy from these frauds. They will get around it by saying in their guarantees there is a paragraph saying they are not responsible. It took me and my lawyer two weeks to weed thru and chase down all the "refer to" all the where fore's and there fore's to find a clause in very fine small font print saying they were not responsible for any guarantees they make with "trusted merchants" or their own sales. Their guarantees are worthless. Don't get taken like I did.

I did get even with the frauds that put the ad in Amazon.com's website. I managed to call a police station in Naples Italy and emailed all my emails I got from this guy to them. Later the informed me that they had the "people involved" in jail on international fraud and would most likely spend the next 15 years in jail. They apologized that they could not recover the money that I had lost. Proves at least someone is honest and is willing to try and help Joe Citizen.
