call alert, with no help from techs

i recently moved and called AOL before i moved, gave them my new address and new phone number and the rep said that was all she needed, that my service would not be interrupted, however, when i set up my computer, i had several problems with the free virus scan, and did not get any results from the numerous techs i talked to.

i had a friend come over and solve the problem, which was an AOL problem, and not the phone companies i am now having a problem with call alert, when IM not online, and on the phone, i get a message that says my line was busy when i was not online and need to set my call handling settings, and i have done this, and even when i am online, when someone calls me, they get a busy signal, i am so frustrated that i am ready to cancel my service with your company.
