Bare Escentuals from QVC Bare Escentuals from QVC
I ordered Bare Escentuals from QVC. Let me first say the products are great. They last a long time if applied properly. That is why when I received another kit in the mail two months later I called to cancel. I wrote "RETURN TO SENDER" and gave it to my mail carrier. Little did I know when a item is sent bulk rate it does not get sent back to the sender.
It gets thrown in a dumpester & is not returned. This happened to me 3 times before I found this out. So I have paid for a product I didn't ask for (they debited my account) at a cost of $43.97 three times and have nothing to show for it.Of course they don't have a record of my canceling after the 2nd kit was sent. When I called Bare Escentuals the customer service rep was very rude.
When I asked to speak to somebody else she laughed at me, put me on hold for a long time, then I was sent to "megans voicemail".This is a scam to send bulk knowing it will not be sent back. The Post Office isn't much better. If only someone had told me it would not get sent back I would have gladly paid to send it back. BYERS BEWARE OF BULK POSTAGE-YOU CAN'T RETURN IT SIMPLEY BY WRITTING RETURN TO SENDER. BARE ESCENTUALS KNOWS THIS & IS TOO CHEAP TO SEND IT ANOTHER WAYS SO THAT IF A CUSTOMER ISN'T READY FOR A KIT THEY CAN RETURN IT.
tHEY DON'T TELL YOU THIS. I'M SO MAD, IF ONLY I COULD SPEAK TO THE PRESIDENT & CEO LESLIE BLODGETT. ANYTHING TO MAKE A BUCK! WHAT ABOUT KEEPING YOUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY? OR HOW ABOUT WORKING SOMETHING OUT WITH THEM?!

She called to cancel these recurring products a month ago. Well guess what, she got another product set today! These people are completely out of control. She had verification that she had canceled any account with them and they went as far as to say that someone must have gotten on the web and ordered for her. SHE LIVES ALONE. I am going to contact all of DENVER's news stations with this complaint and see if we can't get something on the news about this to warn consumers. I would advise that everyone else do the same in your city. I just saw a debit on my account from then and had know idea what it was for since I hadn't received or knowingly SIGNED UP for any products I would be paying for in the future. This is an industry trend with most online companies that is completely out of control. They are making millions off of the consumers knowing we don't check our on line statements too thoroughly. I was livid when I called them today especially since I have a pending charge and they told me they have a shipment going out tomorrow that they couldn't stop. Something I never ordered..... Unbelievable. Something should be done by Congress about any company tricking you into to charges for products you never ordered. This goes for those "payment protection, etc." by the credit card companies, etc. To make a long story short, I have been charged over $200 for an initial order of 79.00. Thanks Bare!!! I used to work for the crappy call center Leslie contracts with. The conditions were horrible, & the reps are treated like peasants. There is a different place that answers for the infomercial; & majority of my calls, were people unknowingly enrolled in the club & refund complaints. Lots of other shady stuff. All the while, Leslie rakes in the money. I resigned, as could not work for this company in good conscience. I am SO glad mineral makeup is now being offered by many competitors; can easily pick it up at the drugstore now. Too bad so sad, Blodgett. I received the kit and didn't like the colors, so I sent everything back in the original pink box, and I actually did pay first-class USPS priority mail postage. I also included a nice letter requesting a refund ($75). That was over 2 months ago and the very rude rep claims they never received it, and they can't give me a refund unless they get the product. I have called several times but get nowhere with anyone. This is a TOTAL RIPOFF and I will never order from them again. I can't dispute it w/ my credit card company because I stupidly used a debit card, which has no dispute resolution or purchase guarantees. DO NOT BUY BARE ESCENTUALS!! They LOVE to sell you stuff, but have 1000 excuses NOT TO GIVE REFUNDS.
