We ordered a 14 lb ham online from honey bake ham for our Christmas dinner serving 20 people. Our ham was sent from Horsham, PA on 12/22/04 with a delivery date of 12/23/04 via UPS. We tracked it to Ontario,CA on 12/23/04. It arrived in Portland, OR on 12/24/04 at 6:07 am.

 

It is still in Portland as of today 12/28/04 We called five different honey bake phone numbers and finally got someone who credited our card and told us: Gee we're real sorry." They also told us when it finally got here to send it back. All day Christmas eve we waited as UPS told us it was coming and they would deliver until 10 pm.. Well they didn't and we had 20 people with nothing to eat on Christmas.

 

We managed to get into a restaurant for dinner because they had a late cancellation. You would think after being a loyal customer and ordering regularly they would offer something for ruining our Christmas other than our money back. Well, I can tell you this, I will post notices and flyers, tell everyone I know and do everything else I can to tell people not to buy a honey bake ham.

 

We will never order another, only to be stiffed and embarrassed by this incident. Insult to injury a "canned apology." I hope you can get this out to the many people who could be spared this awful experience and to everyone who might think that honey baked ham cares about their customers, because they don't.
