Problem with Monitronics International

In late July 2004, I advised Monitronics representatives of an intended move and requested my residential security system be discontinued on August 27, 2004. I was asked to send my request by letter which I did immediately. My payments were automatically deducted from my bank account. Monitronics continued to request and receive payment for services not rendered for three months. Over those three months I explained this situation to many of their representatives and the last was a man named Eric on November 17, 2004. He advised me that this deduction would not be stopped until 2006 because I was still under contract.

I told him that I did not renew my contract after the first three years and that I am presently not under contract with Monitronics. I have since closed my bank account but I continue to receive billing statement Late fees are being added to my unpaid balance. Gordon
