On November 11, 2004 I purchased $2300 worth of merchandise in Value City Furniture. This included a 4 piece sofa set and a picture frame curio. It was confirmed that my items would be ready for pick up on December 7, 2004. On 12/03/04 I got a phone call informing me that my furniture was not ready

and that I could go pick up what was there and that they would inform me when the other items were going to arrive.

 

Since they were having issues they did not know when the other items were going to arrive. I expressed my concerns to the store manager and he ASSURED me that all my items were going

to arrive on 12/13/04 free of delivery charge. On 12/13/04 partial of my items arrived. I had to call the store numerous times and wait 10 minutes until the operator answered the phone. When the operator finally answered they would slam the phone in my ear. When I expressed this to the manager

gave me a "DON'T CARE ATTITUTE".

 

He told me "What do you want me to do, there are several operators." After speaking with her she ASSURED me that all of my items were going to arrive on 12/13/04. On that date ONLY 2 more items came in and they damaged my picture frame curio. On 12/17/04 the curio arrive DAMAGE. I had called Head Quarters numerous times and they told me that that's the way they do business and that they ONLY could give me a $50.00 gift card. ALL MY TROUBLES ARE NOT GOING TO BE SOLVED WITH $50.00.

 

ALL THE EMMOTIONAL STRESS I WHEN THROUGH, ALL THE RUDE PEOPLE I HAD TO TALK

TO, ALL OF THE WAITING TIME I SPENT ON THE PHONE SO AN OPERATOR COULD SLAM

THE PHONE. I really would like it if you can conduct an investigation on the Value City Furniture in Falls Church (Bailey's Crossroads). No producer should treat their customers with such disrespect nor should they BREACH their contracts.
