TO: Symantec Customer Relations Symantec Corporation Dear Symantec Customer Relations, I hope you can help me. I've encountered a problem with the customer service at Symantec Corporation, and it's very frustrating to me. TRIED YOUR FREE TRIAL OF ANTI SPAM. IT WORKS VERY POORLY. IT KEEPS PUTTING E-MAILS FROM ONE OF MY FRIENDS INTO SPAM FOLDER, EVEN THOUGH HIS E-MAIL IS IN MY ADDRESS BOOK, IN YOUR APPROVED LIST AND SEVERAL TIMES I HAVE TAKEN IT FROM SPAM AND MARKED IT AS "NOT SPAM. HAD FOUR OF THEM IN ONE DAY THAT CAME AS SPAM. ALSO MSGTAG IS ALSO IN MY APPROVED LIST, AND ABOUT HALF OF THEM GO INTO SPAM, EVEN AFTER I KEEP MARKING THEM AS "NOT SPAM. ALSO YOU KEEP SENDING OBVIOUS SPAM INTO MY IN BOX. MORTGAGE LOANS, CONTESTS, I MARK THEM AS "SPAM" AND THEN SEVERAL MORE POP UP IN MY INBOX. I EVEN GOT SOME VERY OFFENSIVE E-MAILS IN MY INBOX. ONE HAD A SUBJECT OF "BOOTLEGGER" AND THE MESSAGE BODY CONTAINED NAMES OF GIRLS TO SET ME UP WITH. THE WHOLE THING WAS VERY OFFENSIVE AND DEFINITELY SHOULD HAVE BEEN SPAM. I E-MAILED YOUR CUSTOMER SUPPORT SEVERAL TIMES, RECEIVED NOTICE AND CASE NUMBERS THAT SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT ME WITH 24-48 HOURS. OUT OF ALL MY E-MAILS, I RECEIVED ONE REPLY. MY E-MAIL WAS ASKING WHY MY FRIEND'S EMAILS WERE BEING PUT INTO THE SPAM FOLDER EVEN THOUGH HE WAS IN THE APPROVED LIST AND I HAD CHANGED SEVERAL TO "NOT SPAM".. THIS ONE REPLY SAID THEY WERE SORRY I WAS INCONVIENCED AND THAT I COULD GO TO A WEB SITE THEY SHOWED TO CHECK TO SEE IF I HAD A VIRUS. A VIRUS? I NEVER MENTIONED A VIRUS. WHAT KIND OF REPLY WAS THIS? I E-MAILED BACK AND ASKED THEM WHAT A VIRUS HAD TO DO WITH MY QUESTION AND WHY THEY DID NOT ACTUALLY READ MY E-MAILS. NEVER A REPLY. THIS IS VERY POOR SERVICE AND IT SEEMS THAT YOUR ANTI SPAM PRODUCT IS FLAWED AND NO ONE THERE EVEN CARES. THIS IS VERY POOR SERVICE FOR A COMPANY AS YOURS In the meantime, here's what I'd like your company to do. IT IS TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING FOR ME AS I HAVE UN INSTALLED YOUR ANTI SPAM. I AM HOPING SOMEONE THERE CAN FIND WHAT THE PROBLEMS ARE AND ALSO TRY TO SEE THAT SOMEONE IN CUSTOMER SUPPORT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT SOME SUPPORT. I ALSO AM A PAYING CUSTOMER FOR NORTON ANTI VIRUS AND I HAVE LIKED IT VERY MUCH. I REALLY THOUGHT IT WAS THE VERY BEST AND THOUGHT NORTON SYMANTEC AS A WHOLE WAS A VERY GOOD AND RELIABLE COMPANY.\ THIS HAS MADE WONDER IF IT IS AS GOOD AS I HAD THOUGHT. I AM WONDERING IF MY ANTI VIRUS IS AS GOOD AS I HAD THOUGHT. I REALLY HOPE I NEVER NEED ANY SO CALLED CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I AM STILL CONSIDERING WHETHER TO KEEP THIS OR LOOK FOR SOMETHING MORE RELIABLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I AM VERY DISSAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT AND YOUR LACK OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I AM ASKING COMPLAINTS.COM TO PLEASE POST THIS ON THEIR SITE SO THAT OTHER PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS CAN SEE THE PROBLEMS AND LACK OF SUPPORT I HAVE HAD. HOPEFULLY IT VAN HELP SOMEONE.
