I was billed for a credit protection service for $136.52. When I called the Cr. Card Co., They said I had authorized this 35 day free trial on Nov. 3rd 2004 when I called company about another matter. I did call the Company about canceling two other cards with the same company, as they were excessive. I do not remember agreeing to this service, especially at a $100.00+ charge. I never received anything in the mail, although they claim that they mailed items out to me and had not received them back as undeliverable?? I know I never gave them any approval in writing and if they interpreted whatever was said as agreement over the phone, I can only say it was totally misunderstood by me.

They (the company) was willing to give me a $50.00 credit (???). They do not have a recording of the phone call nor any written permission. They supposedly are doing an investigation, which will be "completed" in about 20 days. I want this charge completely taken off. I do not want or need any credit protection service, which I consider a scam in any event. Its just paying for the credit card company to defray any fraud or false charges, which they would be liable for anyway, according to the terms of the credit.
