We purchased a used F150 about one year ago for our son. Earlier this week we took this to our local mechanic to have a noise checked out. He is telling us we need a new rear end and something in the transfer case. I called our local Ford dealership (Gateway Ford, Sturgis, MI) I asked if there was still any factory warrenty on these items and was told the warrenty was 3 years or 36,000 miles.

Then I was told the only vehicles having a longer warrenty are Chrysler products. I thought this was a very unique way of keeping old customers (we currently own 3 Ford vechicles - one of which has already been repaired due to a recall- the front tire came off our 350 Diesel)

I was wondering if there is anything on recalls/or information on file for the problem we are having with our F150.
