I have tried for over three years to close an account that has not been used since Sept. 1999.

I have talked to 10 representatives in the last two months, one legal department head,

one supervisor and still get bills. Since I have six other phones with Cingular I am being extored to some degree.

There is no way to get a return call back to the last person you talked to. There is no street address so you can't send Registered mail. If they promiss you something you can't get it in writing. All this leads to a very lopsided unfair relationship.

I am now taking legal action against Cingular just to protect my credit. Has this happened to anyone else out there?
