My aunt had purchase a garage door not to long ago. She received call from the installers that the door is ready. She was surprise to find out that the door was available, since it was being custom made. After being told it would be custom made for her and it would take a couple of weeks. The installer said that it was not her door she ordered, but one that that was turned down by a customer and fits her measurements of her garage.

She was upset because it was not custom made for her and she was being charged the same price for a door that that was turn down from another person. The installer mentioned that it would be no use for her to complain, because, like it or not, the door would be installed.

Even if she wanted a new door, she would never know if this is the one she ordered or the one that was turned down by another person, She immediately called the supervisor who gave her a discount of 175.00 for inconvenience. The day of the installation, she arrange to be there and made the needed preparations to get the area prepared. The day comes and the garage door does not fit.

On top of that the installers supervisor insist that this is not the door that was turned down by another customer, but her custom made one. My aunt was furious and expected to be compensated. Well, she was told no compensation and that people make mistakes. This is not good customer service. It seems that the old add age that the customer is always right does not apply here.
