Allied Interstate Financial My husband’s daughter is in default of a loan – I have no information regarding how much or for what – she gave our phone number to them – her phone is disconnected – Allied Interstate calls us daily – sometimes more than once a day – every person who I have spoken with at Allied is very rude to say the least – belligerent to me – I have given my step daughter the message – she refuses to contact Allied –

I have explained to Allied that she does not live here and she does not have a phone – I have asked them to cease the phone calls to us – they refuse to do so until she contacts them – what rights do I have???????

You must send them a letter to ease the calls and if they call after that you get the collectors name and call an attorney becuase you ahve the right to sue for harrasment. Remember the rquest must be in WRITINTG!! i am a previous collector so I know the FDCPA so next time they call ask for an address and if they don't give it to you then look them up and call and tell them you need the address to send a payment document the date you sent the letter so if they call after that, you have the right to sue. I say certify mail it so you can get a receipt, they can call one more time after that just to tell you they received the letter that is it.
