Dispute of Roaming Charges $406.50

To whom it may concern: Please allow this letter to serve as a written dispute to the roaming charges that were incurred from June 14-19, 2004 which total $406.50. Prior to allowing my daughter to take my cell phone with her to a church youth camp, I checked your website and found that the Birmingham area was on your coverage service map. Only after receiving a horrifying bill did I learn that this map did not include my plan. To incur this amount of roaming charges during a four day period is ludicrous. Several attempts have been made by me and my wife to work with “Customer Care” but apparently courtesy refunds are out of the question, even to good customers. We were not even extended the courtesy of even being able to speak with a supervisor in your call center, my call could only be escalated to a “Resolution Specialist” by the name of Matthew; and this was even after being hung up on by “Ryan”. The only resolution Matthew was able to come up with was to refund $100 IF we would agree to take out another plan that we would have to buy a new phone for. After visiting a very informative website, www.complaints.com, I find that we are in very good company as frustrated, unhappy, former AT&T Wireless Customers. Congratulations, your tactics work! Sincerely, Stephen K. F
