ETRADE Securities Etrade is not the route for a small invester.

So if you purchased the "hot stock" a few years ago, Enron types, Peregine Systems etc those stock bellied up and are worthless or may only be worth a few cents a share. To sell those stock it would cost $23.00 to sell plus $10 if you wanted moneies to be returned to you. It you decide not to sell it would cost you $25. quarterly to hold on to the stock.
If your stock is less than 19.99, Etrade keeps the stock in exchanged for its fee.
