My name is Mili. I purchased a washer & dryer from North Attleboro SEARS store on 07/31/04 . After the installation we found out that the washer is not working properly in the 'rinse' mode. When I called Home Delivery, they said they will bring another one next week. The delivery team brought a new machine and they installed it. While installing it, the technician broke the drain hose. Water leaked all over the place. They said, they will order another drain hose and fix it as soon as possible. When I tried to setup an appointment with Service upfront, they said I cannot do that. They said I have to call the store, from where I bought the machine, when I get the parts. I did just that as soon as I got the parts. Well, the store manager said, they cannot do any service and asked me to contact corporate service department.

 

You guessed it, they said the technician will come only next week. I was so frustrated at that time I asked her to cancel my order and that I don't want their product. Then she said she will send the technician the next day. We noticed that it was not a hose-drain but it was stacking clamps that we got. I asked the representative why I received clamps instead of hose-drain. They had no idea why. They did not have any record of what has been ordered for us - how sad. The technician showed up next day. He said what we needed was a hose-drain and not stacking clamps, there was no surprise. So he left our home without doing anything other than ordering a hose-drain. This time I insisted to make the appointment in advance. Hum, I got an appoint 5 days after. I received my part two days later. On the third day, two techincians showed up - this time we hadn't setup any appointment. They did not know how to fix the hose-drain. One of the technicians said, the only thing that we can do is to get a new washer and we cannot fix the hose-drain. That was really silly. So I asked him "Do you mean I have to buy a new washer if I break my drain-hose?" He said "Yes sir, you cannot fix hose-drain". I hope and pray that he is wrong. They said they don't know how to fix hose-drain in this model. Why the hell they came to our house then? I am still waiting for someone to come and fix this once and for all. This has been going on for about a month now, though it feels like years!! I have wasted a lot of time and energy on this. I spoke to a tons of people only to get disappointed. This is my worst shopping experience in my whole life. Whenever I call sears store about this they will ask to call service center. All the time I hear BIG SORRY. But in Service center they are not taking this seriously. You can how pain and suffering I went through by purchasing the product from you. I couldnt use this washer even once. It's been one month now. I had a lot of stress and I spend a lot of money for this. I bought this last month because I needed a new one immediately. Otherwise I would have waited for the sale or tax free day. I am thoroughly disappointed. Will I buy anything from SEARS again? Yes, ONLY IF I DON'T HAVE ANY OTHER CHOICES IN THE WHOLE WORLD.
