Buyer Beware of Home Depot At Home Services. They have the worst customer service! I initially contracted with them because of the great in-store customer service. Boy, did they have me fooled. They sent an incompetent carpet layer who placed multiple seams in a four foot long hallway. It also took him 3 days to lay carpet in a 1500 sq. ft house.

It took several phone calls and several days to get someone from the store to look at it. Then the subcontractor decided to send the same installer (after several vehement requests for a different individual) to look at the seamwork.

That installer tried to blame it on the measurer. It then came to light that the installer had falsified documents. It then took several more calls for Home Depot to decide to replace all the carpet in my house. The new installers were great and did it in one day. I had to fight for restitution and am not satisfied with their settlement.

I have asked to appeal it to the company CEO, but he is very well insulated. HOME DEPOT COULD NOT CARE LESS!!!! I have 24 pages of my ordeal that I will gladly share with anyone. I have contacted a lawyer regarding my lost pay and time from work having to deal with it, but it would cost me more than the carpet. My only recourse is to hopefully prevent this from happening to anyone else. Sincerely, Deede W
