REGIS HAIR SALONS--Massachusetts

My friend and I were on vacation and decided to go to the local mall to get our hair trimmed. We both have very short hair, in an almost identical cut and just needed a "shaping" and a trim of our bangs. We are in our 50s and you know the type of h/c we have....

We stopped in at Regis because it was very early in the day and the two girls there (stylists) were sitting around chatting. They accommodated us immediately and we both got our haircuts. There was no styling involved, no blow drying, just a simple wash and trim. No sprays or gels were used. Great so far. Both girls talked about how they went to school together and work together, had the same hair styling experience etc. both in their early 20s.....

When we left the salon I said to my friend that I felt "ripped off" that it was a very expensive haircut for having so little hair...she agreed and said $25. was way too much for what we had done, and she left a $5. tip!!!! Whoa, she paid $25??? I paid $30!!!!!! and left a $3. tip, and of the two of us, she had more hair!!!!!! We were really annoyed that there was no mention of the cost of the h/c and no prices were listed.

And to top it off, no customers came in while we were getting our haircuts, so it was not as if we were taking away from appointment times. I tried to locate a customer service link on the Regis website but there is not one.

You're on vacation, but hair stylists need eat too! If you want a cheap hair cut then buy yourself a pair of clippers and buzz it all off? $25.00 is lunch for two or a DVD... If you think that your hair is not worth $25.00, then go to your local Wal-Mart salon...I mean really!
