Information concerning this disputed charge of $189.00; I was working with Generation X, a site for older, handicapped people. I was sent information about them from AARP. Generation X recommended 123 Free Travel club. I went to the 123 Free Travel site and it looked interesting because it offered a bunch of free services just for signing up. I signed up on July 1st and was not informed that there was no refund. On July 6th, 2004 I noticed the small print at the very bottom of the web site that said 'restrictions apply'. I clicked on the 'restrictions apply' statement. I then read on the new page that to receive these free offers I would have to go to specific places and stay in certain hotels for a set time. If I had known about this I wouldn't have signed up. I'm sure that is why the 'restrictions apply' is in such small print, hidden at the bottom of the page. I am already signed up for the Fairfield Resorts that have accommodations that meet my handicap needs. I called 123 Free Travel on July 6th, 2004 and spoke with Jerrie (phone # 800-481-5592). I told her I wanted to cancel my membership. Jerrie said the charge had already been posted, so I would have to dispute the charge with my credit card. I have disputed the charge twice on line; one of the reference # is OL1759197. I received the package of material from 123 Free Travel on July 12th. I returned it on that date. I also called & spoke with Jerrie again on the 12th. This is a case of false advertising. If the company has restrictions, they should be up front about it. I have notified 123 Free Travel and Bank of America twice about this charge. I want a refund of $189. Gayle B

What is it with people- do you think people are just going to give you things for free...in high school they should really go over life lessons..finances and being a sucker among other things. You always search a website and read everything before you buy. You shouldnt get a refund for being stupid!
