On May 13, 2004 I purchased "The Colonial" package from SaleByOwnerRealty.com, which stated that I would receive an MLS listing on Realtor.com for 6 months, with a color photo and description, listed in less than 24 hours, along with a listing on several other websites, a sale by owner realty sign (which you have to pay extra postage for), and a professional flyer box.

What I actually received was an MLS number, that took 4 weeks to get, that had a listing that did not contain any photo, that did not contain any description, that did not even contain an address. This listing lasted for about a week and was then gone.

After fighting with these people for 8 weeks to get my listing correct and listed, I ran out of time and I needed to hire a realtor. I asked SaleByOwnerRealty.com to refund my money, since I never received ANY of the services that I was promised, never received the signs or flyer box, never recieved anything other than an MLS number that did not list my house, and they have refused. They are saying that I was given an MLS number, therefore I cannot get a refund. They do not advertise that I am paying

$449 + $9.50 shipping and handling for an empty listed MLS number that lasts for a week.

It has now been over 10 weeks that I have been calling this business and trying to get resolution. I spent a lot of time being patient and waiting for my listing to appear. I have now been patient trying to talk to them and get a refund since they were unable to list my house and did not mail me any of the products that I was promised.

I can no longer wait as I have to sell my house and therefore have listed with a realtor. SaleByOwnerRealty.com now wants my realtor to pay me a $458.50 refund for their service, although they are not paying my realtor anything for listing my house. I just want my money back and to be done with them.

My realtor can also verify that although I had an "MLS number" I did not actually have a listing anywhere with that number. SaleByOwnerRealty.com is refusing to refund my money. They are not a company that can be trusted to follow through with the promises that they make on their web site and people should know this. Sue and Jeff P
