1998 Chevrolet Astro Van : Air Condition Condenser

I had the extended warranty(100,000 miles) that I paid $1300.00 for on my new van in 1998. My compressor for the air went after 74,000 miles. It was replaced with no problem. It went again at 81,000 miles, and it was replaced again.

It went again at 117,000 miles, this time it was not under warranty. They wanted $1,100.00 to replace it again. The dealership is under new ownership so they said my issue is not with them.

After talking to some neighbors that work on vehicles they informed me that the dryer unit in my van is the original, and it should been replaced each time a new compressor is put in. They said that is why your compreesor keeps going bad. Do I have a case to go back to GM, and fight for a new compressor(at no charge)?
