Complaint

 

On December 28, we purchased furniture from Levitz Furniture. On January 29, 2004 the Dining Room set was delivered with a scratch in the glass door of the breakfront. We reported it and waited for the delivery of the replacement from the manufacturer.

 

Levitz promised every two weeks that it had been shipped. On March 28, we received the replacement and after returning from a trip, notified Levitz that it was here and ready for them to install it.

 

The installation will take place on May 11, some 4 months after the set was delivered. All this while our china, crystal and silver sits in boxes, we cannot use the dining room or entertain, and Levitz has had our money. This Company is disreputable and completely unable to follow through with problems.

 

Their sales staff may be great but management is worthless. We are so frustrated and find the tactics of "promise the customer and make them wait" to be a horrible way to do business.
