Meier and Frank (Clackamas Town Center + Salem) Estee Lauder counter A cosmetic counter rip-off happened to me this past weekend. I made a purchase at the Meier & Frank Estee Lauder counter in Clackamas Town Center Sat. on the way home from PDX. I also bought 'gift with purchase' for $24...a blue purse with additional 'gift' including several Estee products. I spent almost $100 on very little product. Anyway when I opening the purse box at 9:30 pm, I discovered it was only a purse and not anything else...all sample stuff was no where to be found. A call to them on Sunday was met with resistance.

Salem didn't want to give me the stuff because it would short them. Clackamas said they could mail it to me at MY cost. Then another person is Salem reluctantly said to come into the counter on Monday and they would have it for me.

So on my lunch hour, I went to M&F and the counter person said there was no note informing her to 'hand it over' and she couldn't because she's almost out. Then she made a couple phone calls and assured me that someone from Clackamas would be coming to the Salem store and would bring this down on Tuesday. She once again took my name and number and promised a call.

Of course, I've not heard from anyone. No kidding, I will be buying all my make up off of Ebay from now on. It's new and factory sealed and a lot cheaper! Screw the "gift with purchase" crap.
