A couple years ago I purchasd a pair of Nike Airs $140.00. The shoe was fine for about a month then the glue at the toes gave way, so I tried to return them but they wouldn't do it because I'd worn the shoes so they gave me the number to contact Nike head office, I did and was told I'd have to mail in the shoes wait a few months and tey'd decide if I deserved a new pair of shoes and they would mail them to me but they may not send me the same shoes. NICE I work full time and need my shoes to wear for the time being so I glued the toe back up and carried on swearing I'd never buy shoes at foot locker again. A year goes by and I'm shopping for shoes I have strangely wide feet, finding comfy shoes is a challenge for me .Remembering how comfy they were I went back into foot locker and spoke to the sale agent about my concerns upon purchasing the same shoes I explained I loved how comfortable the shoes were for me but for the price how do I know they wont fall apart on me again might I add again it only took a month!
I was assured if I bought these now $130. shoes and I had any problems within 2 months I could return them to that store after that I had a year to return them to Nike. 1 week later I noticed the right shoe was bubbling at my baby toe. I brought them back within 2 weeks plus I didn't wear them much because I work in an office. The manager at the time I have her name wrote down was sooo rude to me. I attempted to explain I was promised I could return the shoes if I had any problems considering they were over $100.00 before I could finish she interrupted me with a lot of attitude and said she wont do it.
I said I was promosed I could and I'm still in the time limit, the shoe is defective she said snottily she wont do it because I wore the shoe, well I wore them out of the store th same time I was promised by footlocker staff it would be o.k. then she said it was because the shoe was to small well I was assisted by footlocker staff in the fitting process. So what, they sold me shoes that were to small aswell?!! Now I've had the shoes a couple months and what do ya know the toe's coming un-glued and quicker than the first time. I love this shoe, it's so comfy, it's stylish and what I can't buy them because they're crap.
So why are they priced between $145 & $110? I don't know who I'm more discusted with Foot Locker for their very bad customer service and lies to sell shoes, Nike for selling crap shoes at such a high cost with such bad quality or my-self for falling for the idea you get what you pay for because they only last for about 4 months then the paint cracks off the toe peels away and the colored sole, I got blue turns yellow within a month. Whats with that?
