T-Mobile/cell service
I live in Columbus, OH and decided to get a cell phone and service through T-mobile. I was so excited because I had heard a few good things about them. The phone salesman was so nice and pleasant that I figured my experience w/ T-mobile would be pretty good...so much for that! My service started Jan. 19th. I figured I'd probably get my first bill in Feb. Well I received no bill in Feb. So I tried to view my bill online...no bill to view. Then I tried calling. The lovely customer service rep told me that I probably would not receive a bill till March and that I had nothing to worry about. So I was satisfied and even pleased that I didn't have to make a payment till March. Here it was April 6th and I received a bill in the mail stating that I needed to make a payment of $53 by April 11th. So I figured ok that's fine. But still no bill to view online mind you. Two days later I receive a call from T-mobile stating my bill is past due in the amount of $109.?? So I explain to the cust. rep. that I just received my very FIRST bill so how is it past due. She so kindly says "wow how is that possible, must have been a mistake, so when will you be making this payment?". I was left in awe.
So of course the phone call goes on and on w/ me explaining to little miss cust. rep. that I just received my first bill therefore how is anything past due. She ask if I viewed my bill online, I explain there is no bill to view online. Suddenly out of her magic hat she pulls the bill up online and ask if I can view it now. I go to my computer and suddenly it appears!!!! WOW! Of course she doesn't believe that I never had a bill online and continues to ask "how would you like to make your payment today?". I let her know that I would make my payment soon in a payment center and ask when will my next bill be due....get this...April 16th!!! I'd had enough after that...I laughed and hung up. So my point is...because T-mobile screwed up and didn't send me a bill for Jan-Feb or for Feb-March I have to make a double payment in April or my services will be turned off w/ a reconnect fee. Was it my fault they screwed up??...NO! So why am I being double billed all in one month?? Can they answer my question?....NO! Do they care?....NO!! Do they think they did anything wrong?....NO! Are they just another money hungry cell company, who says they put their customer first but when it comes to their own mistakes the customer is SOL???....YES!!
Have they and are they going to do anything to rectify this situation?....HECK NO!! I'm just a measly customer why should they care! They take my money and laugh all the way to the bank!! Will I be switching cell companies??....OH YEAH!! Will I be paying to get out of a contract?....NOT IF MY LAWYER HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT!!
