I PURCHASED A CROSSTRAINER 970 DIRECTLY FROM PROFORM'S WEB SITE IN MARCH 2003. WHEN THE ITEM WAS RECEIVED IN MARCH 2003, THE FRAME WAS BENT AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO USE THE BIKE.
I HAVE CALLED THEM SEVERAL TIMES AND YOU CAN NEVER SPEAK TO A REPRESENTATIVE DIRECTLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN AUTOMATED CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT, I HAVE EVEN BEEN PUT ON HOLD FOR OVER 45 MINUTES. BECAUSE I REFUSED TO PAY FOR A DEFECTIVE ITEM AND THEY WON'T TAKE THE ITEM BACK, THEY HAVE SENT MY ACCOUNT IN FOR COLLECTION.
THE COLLECTION PEOPLE STATE THAT I NEED TO TALK TO THE PRESIDENT OF ICONFITNESS BUT HOW DO YOU REACH ANYONE WHEN THEY ONLY HAVE AN AUTOMATED ANSWERING SERVICE. I HAVE SENT E-MAILS AND FAXES BUT THEY FALL ON DEAF EARS. I WOULD NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING ELSE FROM THEM AND IT IS A SHAME, BECAUSE YOU THINK IF YOU BUY DIRECTLY FROM THE FACTORY, THE SERVICE WOULD BE BETTER THAN FROM A THIRD PARTY.
