NETZERO COMPLAINT DOUBLE DIPPING OUR ACCOUNTS- RIPPING US OFF AND REFUSES TO ASSIST OR CANCEL ACCOUNT

 

We noticed that Netzero charged our bank account AND our telephone bill for Netzero service we don't even know we have or use. I called Netzero earlier today and got the most obnoxious, rude person I have ever come across... hands down.. in my whole life!

 

Upon calling, the automated system had me enter in my telephone number. After doing so it said there were several email addresses affiliated with my number and that I should choose one. NONE of these are remotely familiar or mine mind you and I am a but paranoid. I finally get through and the guy (Khalid) goes through my account and says yes they charged me twice.

 

Once on my bank account once on my phone bill. We never gave permission for either charge or account (and still who are all these other emails addresses???) There is nothing he can do and I will have to call my bank and telephone company to have them take the charges off. Well, knowing better than that I ask to speak to a supervisor to take care of the matter. (I did call later and put a block on my phone to stop outside charges but there is nothing either can do to reverse the charges as it is Netzero that has to)

 

As the supervisor gets on the phone she will never let me complete a sentence and is very rude and continuously goes on and on as to how this is all my fault and she can see I am using it and to deal with it. I try to explain the situation. I have DSL and have no use for dial up? Why would I kick off my DSL and use dial up??? After Khalid and then she (never got her name but she is supposed to be a supervisor) go through my account she's giving me all sorts of information about the accounts chattering on and on will not let me say anything TELLING me to stop talking when I try to ask questions or correct information (she's going on and on about how I have dialed in from my home on certain days, which I never have!!!) I finally ask where the authorizations for the accounts came from in the first place?

 

Why are there two accounts and as she has already reeled off my name and email addresses etc on the account she says that she can not give me ANY information until I give her my bank account number... I ask for HER supervisor but she says THEY do not speak to people.

 

What's Netzero trying to pull? Netzero already charged my bank account without my consent so I know they have my account number... She is getting ruder and ruder. I ask to have everything canceled as I am not paying for dial up I never would use or have asked for. She says No, she will not do this or give me any account information without me giving her my bank account number! I refuse to do so as what point is there they charged to it already.. so they have it...and it's clear that she doesn't need it to gain access to my information as she was reeling off my information just now??? She maintains she can't get the account information without my bank account number???

 

Very sketchy.... She goes on to getting VERY loud that I am stupid and confused and I at this point am shattered and not getting ANYWHERE at all and no assistance so I hang up. I have never been treated so badly!! And am still very upset as I have NO idea how they got my information and still never got that information in the end.

 

Any further attempts to collect information or money from my accounts or telephone bill will result in the FINEST legal assistance that can be provided!!!!
