www.complaints.com/directory/2004/april/28/24.htm Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this consumer complaint. The facts of this situation are as follows: The Coley's contracted Assured to help save their home from foreclosure in March of 2004. When the Coley's signed our agreement they conveyed that they were committed to save their home and were willing to make sacrifices required to do whatever is necessary to do so. The Coley's also agreed that they would be truthful, complete and accurate with all the information provided to the foreclosure expert. If we were tough on the Coley's there was a very good reason...we were trying to help them save their home! It's to bad the Coley's didn't take the situation as seriously as they should have. The Coleys violated the terms of the agreement they signed by not providing accurate information regarding their history with their lender. After conducting the in-depth interview/financial analysis with the Coleys, the Resolution Specialist contacted the lender on 3-15-04, only to find out that the Coleys agreed to a 6 month repayment plan with their lender on 2-14-04, with downpayment due 2/29/04, and failed to honor the agreement. This information was never provided to us by the Coley's in any of their financial interviews with our counselors or in the written paperwork they gave us. The Resolution Specialist requested updated financial information be completed and faxed to the lender for review. The Resolution Specialist also recommended that the Coleys speak with an attorney regarding Ch. 13 as a plan, but only if the lender would not reconsider a repayment plan. Historically, Assured Services has had success in encouraging lenders to work with our clients again even after the client has defaulted on an agreement. Ch 13 is never a good option and all avenues should be exhausted before filing Ch. 13. Instead of allowing the Resolution Specialist to complete her efforts with the lender, as soon as the Coleys determined Ch. 13 was what they wanted to do, they canceled the service. This was after 3 weeks of case work. According to the terms of the agreement they signed, canceling the agreement before we complete our performance as well as their failure to truthfully disclose their history with their lender limited the Coleys ability to get a refund.

My wife and I went through this company to try and get some help, we have been struggling with the situation of having our home in foreclosure. We thought these people could help us, boy were we wrong.
They did absolutely nothing for my husband and I, and continually berated us, telling us we had to follow through with what they were telling us or else!
If you are in the same boat contact us.
