I am writing to complain about the service at the Newburgh rt 300 site on the 24th of April 2004. Perkins restaurant and bakery.

 

Our server was nice. We ordered a simple breakfast . The promotion was crepes (potato) I ordered this with the cheese and broccoli inside with the sauce on top. Also 4 slices of bacon on the side. My husband ordered his breakfast , Hotdogs in a blanket and a omelet with Jack cheese.

 

They took a very long time with the food which was not acceptable as the restaurant was not so full that it should have been such a long wait. When our food arrived the breakfast for my husband was okay mine was so crisp that you could chip pieces off with your knife also the bacon was noticeably well done. The waitress took mine back to the kitchen for a remake .

 

When the remake came out it was made wrong with out the broccoli. By the time I was served my husband was finished. The manager offered me a muffin which was not appealing to me They did however give me a new 4 pieces with my remake. the four pieces I did not have to pay for.

 

I have had this type of service in the past and feel as though it is unfair for the paying person to have breakfast not only late but made wrong and end up eating alone. To top it off the little cards you fill out to see How they are doing!!! The card gives no address to send to a corporate location. The phone number you dial says you need to dial a 10 10 275 number to get a directory assistance and this costs you another $2 dollars and change.

 

I would rather go to I hops I have 16 friends that eat on Saturdays or Sundays with us. We went to I hops on Sunday instead of Perkins. I feel the manager should have come to our table and apologized , also my breakfast should not have cost me a dime as it was prepared two times and then not right yet. The breakfast was a disaster. We still left the waitress a nice tip but in the future we will really have to think where we should go for better service.
