Freedom Scooter, Dallas Texas - We have been hung up on, we have been told to buy the broken parts at Wal-Mart, and today the owner (or so he said he was) just hung up the phone on me
Seller: Freedom Scooter, Dallas Texas. Buyer: Trine Investments LLC dba Kountry Kabins LLC We are a retail business in Senatobia Mississippi. Recently we started to purchase electric and gas scooters from a new scooter wholesaler in Dallas Texas. From the very first (we have placed 3 orders with this company) we have had damage issue's with their products. The manner in which they have responded to our concerns about the damages to our product is appalling. We have been hung up on, we have been told to buy the broken parts at Wal-Mart, and today the owner (or so he said he was) just hung up the phone on me. He is refusing to stand behind his so called warranted products. I am attaching the email I sent to this company (I went to their web site and got the address), as information. I am not sure that this will do any good, but if there are other potential buyers out there they really need to read about this company. Some how it must get out about business people like these. I know they are in lawsuits right now in Texas for hiring other competitors sale people they know have non compete clauses.
I guess in hind sight when I first went there and I saw several sales people from our original scooter supplier and they were laughing a discussing the situation about the non competes, that the people I would be dealing with were less than professional. At any rate attached is my email to Freedom scooter, if there is any guidance or direction you could give me on how to make sure other retail business owners and the buying public are aware of this companies tactics would be greatly appreciate. Enclosure: I was just on the phone with someone from your organization. I called because of problems with a recent order I received from Freedom Scooters via FedEx. As I tried to tell this man these scooters (4 of the 6 on this order were damaged) but the packaging on the scooters was intact and in fact it was quite obvious the broken parts were packaged broken. While talking with this man he interrupted me to tell me I could buy bolts at the hardware store, I could buy helmets at Wal-Mart and he had no headlights (parts) for the new "Harley choppers". When I told him I did not buy these scooters from him to have to go to other stores to replace broken parts he hung up the phone on me. So as a retail business owner (who also has 3 Intermodal trucking, storage & repair terminals in 3 states) I am sending this email. I really hope the man I was speaking to on the phone is the same man who reads this email. Your conduct is appalling, your business intelligence is nil, your ignorance borders on stupidity. At some point in time your arrogance is going to get you in serious trouble. You can bet you will begin to see a campaign to warn the other owners of retail business' about your business tactics and they way you treat your customers! We travel to Dallas from Memphis at least every other week to purchase products. I will do everything I can to make sure the potential buyers (owners of all the wholesale business we buy from) are aware of your tactics and service. Although I am sure you will fail quite quickly on your own, I will enjoy nothing better than telling the horror stories of the buying experiences I have had with your organization. I will be reporting your company to the better business bureau and none of our stores (or anyone I know) will sell Freedom products again. Lawrence T
