Philips 5 disc Home Theater System

 

In September 2003, my husband and I purchased a Philips 5 disc changer home theatre system from AAFES at the Base Exchange. About 1 month later, my husband and I were watching a DVD and the entire system just went dead. We tried everything possible but it would not come back on. We immediately returned it to the Base Exchange and they gave us a new one.

 

But our DVD’s and music CD’s were stuck in the broken system! So the AAFES employees took down our name, address, etc and told us they were going to send the product back to the company and Philips would send us our CD’s within 30 days.

 

Months went past and we didn’t hear anything from Philips nor AAFES. So in February 2004, my husband and I went to the customer service desk at AAFES inquiring about our CD’s and they had nothing in their system that showed we returned a damaged Philips product!

 

They apologized and everything but in the meantime my DVD’s and CD’s are GONE! I don’t know who to be angrier at; Philips, for distributing such a shabby product or AAFES, for having such negligent employees! Oni M Spokane, Washington White-Muldrow Oniqua A
