In february 2004, I purchased a digital camera (Olympus C-750 ultra zoom). The box has no manufacture seal and was not sealed by the store either. At the time of purchase there was no policy sign at the Digital Camera section or the separate check out registrar for valuable electronic.

 

Two days later I retured with the product seeking a refund due to my dissatisfaction with the product. I was forced either to pay 15% restocking in order to return the product or being thrown out of the store by security and keep the product.

 

The corporate manager of the store was so rude and shameful, he refused to acknowledge the deficiency of the store in posting the policy signs across the store properly and furthermore, he contradicted the policy itself where it reads "the 15% restocking fee would be evaluated at the time of return". I was humiliated before the public and have security to escort me to return the product.

 

I filed a complaint with higher authority at compus and did not receive neither a courtesy call or anything in writing. What is more shameful here is that Compusa have not published their executive office address or phone # to file a complaint. I lost $82.19 for no reason. Compusa have no decency or any policy of Customer Service Satisfaction as their primary goal. COMPUSA SHOULD BE PLACED IN THE HALL OF SHAME
