Powerhouse Gym/ Membership Cancellation
PowerHouse Gym, Fort Oglethrope, GA. 30741 District office is 1525 E. Walnut Ave. Dalton, GA 30721
My problem with this company is that I signed up for a membership, but within the seven day grace period of cancellation. I went by and also called them personally to cancell this contract. Of course, They said that they would, but never did.
It is now two months later, I have been contacted by their Lawyer Stacy Boomer (very ruid person) saying that they are serving me with papers and taking me to court. They are also saying that I owe them over $2,000 in fees and membership dues. When the original membership is only worth $479.00.
I have contacted the BBB and the Home office at 24385 Halstead Rd, 2nd floor, Farmington Hill, MI. 48335, and also the Dalton Office.
The lawyer is trying to say he will settel with me for ony $479.00 and he will make this go away. He even said that he would fax me the paperwork, but that was three hours ago. On top of that I have to come up with the money by tomorrow -- Saturday. In order for him to close it out. Last time I tried to contact my lawyer on Saturday -- He was off and the office is closed.
One other thing the Gym in Fort Oglethrope, GA smell like a sweat shop, I can only imagine the possible deases that are in that place
IMO, This company and their financial firm is a rip off and a bunch of liers.
DONT EVERY SIGN ANYTHING WITH POWERHOUSE GYM, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I signed up for a training contract in August. I cancelled in September, paying the $250 early cancellation fee. Powerhouse never deposited the cancellation check and have taken out 2 more $160 payments from my account after I tunred in the cancellation notice. Everytime i talk to someone about it, they say they'll talk to some higher up, but nothing gets resolved. Their turnover has meant that i'm constantly explaining the situation to new people. It's now been 2 months since I cancelled. They still haven't cashed the check and I still have yet to hear about any resolution that's forthcoming from this. Powerhouse gym will scam you into signing a contract and when you take all the right steps to cancel, they'll just keep taking your money.
