Dell Computer - Amex $ 250 reward certificate not credited to Dell account

Dell Computer Complaint

On Dec. 2, 2003 I made a computer purchase with Dell Computer. While placing my order I let Dell know I would be using an AmEx reward gift cert for 250.00 to go against my purchase. Iris, my sale person, took all my info, offered me 90 days same as cash and my call ended.

Within 2 weeks we had our new computer. I called to check the status of my acct. and no where did my acct show the 250.00 deduction. I called countless times to straighted this out, spoke to many nice people who said they would take care of my problem, one even sent us a new digital camera for all my inconvenience.

Still no sign of my AmEx reward cert. Not only our does our acct show the whole purchase amount but as of March 1 my acct will start being charged interest, we will not be able to receive our 150.00 rebate that we were offered and my husband loses 25,000 reward points with american express. I have been sick over this for months now and refuse to pay until my case is resolved.

Every time I call Dell I end up talking to someone different and each time I take names and even ask for supervisors and no one at Dell has been able to help me. We even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they sent us an email indicating that Dell had no response and it would be publicly noted.

Please give me some advice to settle my account. We may end up returning our computer that Santa brought to my kids and I know we will not receive full credit and then we would probably have to pay a ton to have it shipped back..
