I purchased and received a Motorola Model 120C Cell phone from Tracphone. When it arrived, I tried to activate it by dialing 1-900-867-7183.
What I heard was: "Due to the high volume of calls please try later"! I went on-line to tracfone.com but I never received any "scratch-off invoice(?) number and could not activate it on the net. Later that evening I called the 1-800 number again, got a tech who talked me through activating it and I was able to buy additional airtime minutes at the same time.
When I went to try the phone I received a recording that the phone was not in service and that I should call the 1-800 number and, you guessed it, I received another recording about the "high volume of calls..." and "try again later"! Why doesn't the company hire more staff or, as the cliche goes: "If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch"! although this will probably go right over their heads. Help!
