Walmart.com - curtains shipped without curtain rod - customer service said rod would be delivered, but it wasn't

From:

Over the last few years, I have developed a real dislike for shopping at Walmart stores. The ones in my area are filthy; the people are generally rude; and the shelves are not always stocked, much less labled. I shop on the Internet a lot. So when I was looking for curtains and a rod, the exact ones I wanted came up on the Walmart.com website.

So I ordered them along with a rug on Dec 10. First, the curtains came Fed Ex. Then, the rug came UPS. Supposedly, the rod was shipped at the same time but in a different package. It didn't come. I called and emailed customer service a few times trying to explain that it did not come. Each time, they just said it was coming. I called UPS. They never received it. I called customer service again and tried to explain. They said it would ship. I waited, it was not going to be here by the 23rd as promised. I called again. I was told that I could not call to complain until after the 23rd. So I emailed several times.

Each time, they completely ignored what I said and fed me misinformation that it was on the way. Finally, I called and made the gal on the phone, who was telling me the same misinformation, go through the computer screens with me. It did not ship. Literally, 12 phone calls and 7 emails later someone finally believed me. She said the "resolution" department would have to handle it and that they would get ahold of me in the next 24-48 hours. They didn't.

I called again and was told that I could not ask to talk to the resolution department, they would email me. It's been 7 days, nothing. I even emailed the President of Walmart, nothing. I realize it's the holidays and everyone is busy, but this is ridiculous. In every company that I've worked for, people have to have their work done before they are allowed to take time off for the holidays. Besides, it's not like they need my money more than I do.
