Supra Telecom - payment not credited to account in a timely manner - ongoing billing problems Supra Telecom - payment not credited to account in a timely manner - ongoing billing problems
From:
My name is Ashlee Sinclair. I recently switched my telephone service to a company named Supra Telecom. My sister and I split our bills.
On 11/19/03 she wrote a check for $80.00 to pay the telephone bill and mailed it to their bill payment address (P.O. Box 144620 Coral Gables, Fl. 33114-4620) . The account number was included on the face of check number 173.
On 11/21/03 Supra Telecom cashed the check but as of today, 12/26/03 the account has not been credited. I got a bill stating that I owe them $71.43 when in fact there should be a credit of $8.57 on my account.
I have been calling Supra Telecom at 1-877- 499-1388 since 12/5/03 to find out why my account hasn't been credited. I was informed that the billing dept. would look into it and in the meantime I could fax a copy of the cancelled check to 1-877-499-1387.
My sister requested a copy of the cancelled check at a cost of $2.00 from her bank and we faxed a copy of the check on 12/19/03. I called Supra Telecom on 12/22/03 and they still hadn't credited my account. I then faxed 3 copies again that same day. I called Supra Telecom again today and they still haven't credited my account.
Every time I call to find out what's going on, I'm given different information. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I'm either hung up on or flatly refused. I don't know what else to do. I cannot afford to lose $80.00 and I can't afford for my phone to be cut off either.
Thank you for your consideration to my letter. I'd like consumers out there to be aware of their unprofessional business practices. It has been over a month, my sister's check has been cashed, my account has not been credited, and I am getting absolutely no help from customer service. I was even given a false number of 1877-927-8772 by a customer service rep. who told me that was the number to their billing dept. When I called the number it rang once and hung up. I believe this was done to get me off of the phone.
Thank You.
A. Sinclair
