We bought GE's highest-rated (and most expensive) dishwasher just before Christmas of 2002. In July it started malfunctioning and has been in and out of service ever since.

This is partly because a routine repair takes 10 days. This is ridiculous, but will never change as long as GE operates its repair service under the current system. We are very disappointed not only with the inefficiency of GE's repair/warranty fulfillment service, but also with the integrity of employees. I am sorry to say that technicians and customer service personnel have consistently misrepresented situations, either to make me think they were working on the problem when they were not, or to cover their own errors. All contact with GE results only in them justifying their "procedures."

They have a sympathetic manner, but nothing changes-- the machine continues to be unreliable. We will never again buy a major appliance from GE-- nor will anyone else we have contact with! Gretchen Cole
