Kitchen Aid double oven - died while using self cleaning function - told needed new blower units - 4 years old and no longer under warranty

I have a kitchen aid double oven that died when I used the self cleaning function. The service provider told me the oven was defective and needed new blower units for both ovens.

I called KA's customer serivce and they admitted there was a problem with this model but said it was no longer under warranty. The appliance is only 4 years old and cost over $2000 new. I asked to talk to a supervisor and was refused!
