Ace Hardware, Natchez, Mississippi - rebate form required information that didn't have - ongoing rebate hassle

On Friday, December 19 I made a purchase that qualified for a rebate from an Ace affiliate in Natchez, Mississippi. The store was not prepared with the necessary forms to facilitate the mail-in request. After much ado, someone came up with a form.

I filled out the form and prepared to address the envelope. Looking over the form thoroughly, I discovered that no address was printed on the form. There were words at the bottom of the page that said "See other side". The form had been faxed to the store from the Ace Hardware Purchasing Department and the second side was not available.

I went to the website listed on the form (www.acerebates.com) for assistance. I found no assistance at the website. The only things offered there was a selection of FAQs which did not include where a rebate offer could be mailed or even how to get the necessary information.

I called the store for assistance. After holding for 10-minutes, I was told the "he was attempting to find the information on the website". I knew "he" would not find anything there since I did not.

I went back to the website and used the "e-mail us" option to ask my question. After much juggling of information, I finally got the e-mail off. The juggling was necessary since the e-mail option needed all of my information including the promotion code as well as the "tracking" number assigned to me by the website. Since I had not been able to send in the rebate, I had no "tracking" number!

I did get a reply from someone telling me that additional information was needed before I could be given the address. One of the things asked for was the promotion code or Promo Code. Again I looked over the form as well as the store flyer and could find no such code.

At the present time, I am still awaiting the address.
