I strongly recommend consumers to seek insurance through a different company because one day you won't have any insurance nor an explanation until a month later. Try Pemco, Progressive, Allstate or another reputable company.
STAY AWAY FROM GEICO!
I see how Geico get people to pay higher premiums! This is our story:
We've been insured- perfect credit and driving record with Geico for 3 yrs! No accidents or claims! Have always paid our bills on time- except for this past November 2003 when we were out of town and sent in our payment 8 days late.
We did go over our expiration - however, you assume you will be reinstated. And we were- until I just received a letter of cancellation on December 22, 2003, (which was mailed on the 19th of Dec) stating that we were canceled back in November for nonpayment.
Well...as it turns out our payment was successfully cashed by Geico on Dec. 12th. They are returning our money. Well if you ask me, if they had already canceled us, why didnt they notify us immediately and then return our money. No they like to screw you- so you go a month without insurance and then you find out and have to get something else- but due to the time frame you have to pay higher prices because you were without insurance.
Thank you Gavin & Kassandra Lumsden
