Company: Marshall Fields Direct. I placed a phone order for personalized merchandise the day after Thanksgiving. The person I spoke to had difficulty pronunciating some of the letters I was giving them.
When I asked to have the order and personalization faxed or emailed to me to confirm all the spelling I was told it was not possible. I did not accept that answer as final and called several times, only to discover the same language difficulties each time and the same lack of service initiative.
No one could get up out of their chair and fax me a confirmation. Now Im being told that my order will not make Christmas AND they cant track the order or tell me exactly when it will ship. Certainly HAPPY to take the order, but now Im being told its being drop shipped and they cant track it. But, they were able to accept my Visa card. Glad the priorities are in place. I am a generational fields customer and will not be purchasing from them again, sadly. I have ordered my China place settings, oriental rugs, furniture, etc from Fields stores. Thats the big stuff. The small stuff is most basic gifts and buying lunch when browsing at Old Orchard mall in Illinois. Fields was my choice when deciding where to spend my money. WAS. Im really upset about all of this.
