From: Lazy Boy Furniture - foot rests not working right - supposedly fixed by repair man - then foot rest broke

We bought a sofa with recliners on each end, a love seat with recliners and a recliner all from lazy boy in April of 2003. Two weeks after we had the repair man come because the foot pieces would not come out with out physically pulling them out by hand. He adjusted them, they worked for a couple days then back to the way they were. Then the recliner in one end of the sofa was hanging lope sided. Again he came up put a screw back in it and said it would be fine.

We also told him at this time that the cushion seemed to be flatening down, so he ordered new cushions for 2 parts of sofa and 1 part of the love seat, and the recliner. We ask him why this happened so soon after purchase, and he said he has replaced them before, he thinks that the factory doesnt always stuff them well and after they are used a bit the fiber just starts settling. Then the foot pieced was messing up on the same end of the sofa again, he discovered that it had a crack in it.

So he screwed a small board acrossed the crack and said, that was it. Now with all the problems we have had and still have the furniture company said lazy boy was only going to let them come up one more time. My husband reclined back in the recliner and a foot piece broke of the recliner and tossed him in the floor. We feel that Lazy Boy should have just totally replaced this furniture after having repaired it too many times. Instead they are saying they are no longer responsible to help us.

I ask them why this stuff fell apart after only a few months, it is not abused, my children are big enough and do not jump on it, they said it is not abuse but just normal use and they aren't responsible for that. I can not believe that a big name like laxy boy under normal use is only good for less than one year. I would appreciate any help you might give us in this matter.

Thanks
