I would like to file a complaint on the kind of service provided by Levitz. It was my impression that Levitz stands behind the merchendise it sells on the showroom and I bought an entire living room furniture from Levitz store in Philly based on exemplary customer support and superior product from Levitz in the past. Unfortunately my experience does not corroborate with what I thought. Both my sofa and love seat was delivered damaged. I had to get a replacement after nearly 2 months of phone calling and waiting. 6 months later the replacement sofa seat cushion sinked completely on one side. Love seat is also showing the same signs.
It has turned out so bad that we no longer use it due to severe back problems caused by the furniture. Upon requesting service I was distraught to hear that Levitz does not want to honor the contract claiming that I moved.
I understand the policies but I really wished Levitz stood behind their product and provide something that will last atleast a year. I could have very well chosen a cheaper alternative if I knew this is what I was going to get from a superior store as Levitz. I am deeply dissapointed for choosing Levitz and probably will not make the same mistake again. I probably will discourage anyone from making the same mistake I did until Levitz improves the customer service and sells lasting products as they claim in the commercials. I only hope this letter reaches the right authorities so that they could rectify the problem in the future and knowing my experience with Levitz I do not expect any help on my case.
