AOL - unable to cancel AOL service - have cancelled, but AOL is still tying to take money from checking account
Complaints.com received the following consumer message on December 29, 2002:

I have been cancelling AOL since September. I finally had to close my checking account and they are still trying to take money out of my account.
I don't know what part of cancellation they don't understand. I have also called, faxed and e-mail to aol and still since september they are not responding, they keep telling me that I need more information.
What more do they need if not for the account, and the name of the account. Is there somewhere else to get this taken care of?
