This a simple complaint, The target store on Sports Arena Blvd in San Diego where i shop has the worst card scanners of any store i have ever been to.
Try too use a debit card there and it takes 4 to 5 trys before it recognizes your card, if it ever does, The clerks know about this problem but nothing is being done about it as far as i can tell. I no longer shop there because of it.
I dont like writing checks, tha is why i got a debit card, just wondering if this is a local problem or if other Target store are the same way' A frustrated ex customer From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Friday, 27-Dec-02 00:00:00 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI am in the credit card industry. If you take a plastic bag (the kind they give you at grocery stores and Target) and put your credit card in the plastic bag; then run the card and bag through the scanner it cleans the scanner so cards do not have to be scanned twice for customers. And remember some cards magnetic stripe needs to be replaced. To do this you need to get a new card. Hope this helps.
