Videocon Refrigerator 175litre Model S161 - purchased in April, 2001 - not working for the past 15 days

I had purchased the videocon refrigerator 175litre Model S161 just in April 2001 from Cennai (tamilnadu/India).This Videocon Refrigerator is not working for past 15 days.

The videocon service centre in VADODARA(GUJARAT) had sent a mechanic to check on24/12/02 and He reported that the Compressor unit is Burnt and needs to be Sent to the firm for Replacement.He has asked me to produce the Purchase paper and then contact the firm.Thus I am going to be without Refrigerator till the action taken by the firm. Please dothe needful .
