RE: Burger King: Havlock area, Lincoln, NE - not allowed to eat inside restaurant due to store closing
On December 22, 2002 a friend and I went into the Burger King @ 61st & Havlock Av, in Lincoln, NE. It was about 9:50 p.m. We ordered 2 medium meals and was asked if the order was to stay or to go. We wanted our order to stay. When we received our meals, (on a tray to stay,) we were told by the ?manager?? that they would be closing in about 4 minutes and that they "Boot everybody out right at close".
She then asked us if we wanted a sack for our food. She turned to the other couple that came in a few minutes behind us and said, "Did you hear that? You want a sack too?" I feel this was rather rude. If I had wanted my food to go, I would have stated as such, or better yet, gone through the drive through. I wanted to sit in a safe, warm place and enjoy my food. Instead I ate with the car running and juggling food on my lap.
We ate in the parking lot and watched the ?manager?, and another employee visit in the dinning the entire time we were there. I couldn't help but notice the sign on the door that said something to the effect of Now Hiring, where we care about people. I don't think so!
The other couple wasn't real pleased either. Their comment was, "Huh! The other BK's quit taking orders at !0, but I've never heard of one that won't let you eat there.
I also collect the coins for the local newspaper which has 2 racks at that location. I was stared at the entire time I was collecting the coins as if I were robbing the machines.
This BK has just lost 4 customers. I know many people and I will suggest that they not patronize that location. Thank you, Jodi Panko Lincoln, NE 68502 From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Wednesday, 25-Dec-02 00:00:00 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
